In 2017, I began my Intervention series, which unites landscape and landscape painting by incorporating
my relief paintings of artist-made, acrylic paint facsimiles directly into the landscape. Through the
implementation of these painting facsimiles of leaves, vines, flowers, and ephemera into local space,
painting becomes the landscape. The facsimiles so closely mimic those found in situ that the boundaries
completely disintegrate between landscape painting and the landscape itself. Ultimately, in this
process, the art becomes undetectable.
