This series of watercolor paintings represents nature in its state between physicality and ephemerality. My use of transparent watercolor on paper attempts to dematerialize the image and present landscape in a diffused form. Recent watercolors break up the picture plane into time-sequenced layers of photographs that begin digitally then are painted on paper by hand.
